Providing of 3G prepaid annual data plan internet connection to 2000 Government
Schools in Andhra Pradesh has been issued by the Department of School
Education Andhra Pradesh. The complete Rc No.19, Dt:11/02/2016 providing broad band 3G connection to
the schools is as follows.
The attention of all
the DEOs in the Andhra Pradesh State is invited to the references Note orders
of the CSE AP and Invoice letter no. DGM/CSE-IT/Quote/ 15-16/4 dated:
18.09.2015 of AGM (Enterprise Business) BSNL 0/2 PGMT, Hyderabad and in
continues of the office proceedings his office proceedings even. no. dated:
05.01.2016. and they are informed that, the CM and the Minister for Human
Resource Development and again stressed the need to develop a system of
E-governance for quick and prompt delivery of citizen services, enhancing the
efficiency, effectiveness transparency and citizen-centricity in all its
functions, by deploying the Modern Management techniques and information
Technology and Remote Education Virtual Class rooms for delivery of high quality
electronic class room experience for skills development & education which
provides rural populations with access to expert the teachers and master
trainers enabled Development Platform.
Further, it was decided to provide the
internet connection of 1 Mbps speed to all the Government schools in Andhra
Pradesh for regular monitoring of Mid Day Meals, School Information Management
System (SIMS), Remote Education Virtual Class rooms etc. In order to provide
the internet connection, the BSNL has been entrusted to supply the 3G Sim and
Free 3.6 Mbps Data Cards. The supply of Data Cards shall be in Phase manner i.e
Phase I to all Government High Schools, Phase II to all the Upper Primary
Schools and Phase III to all Primary Schools.
Therefore,
all the District Educational Officers (DEO) in the AP State are requested to
supply the 3G SIM and free 3.6 Mbps Data Cards as shown in the annexure
appended to this proceeding. They are further requested to identify the High
Schools which are in dire need of Internet connectivity. They should ensure
that least one High School in each Mandal is provided with the 3G SIM and free
3.6 Mb, Data Cards supplied herewith. A compliance report to be furnished in
the prescribe format to the undersigned by 20.02.2016 positively.
