Smagra Shiksha Telangana state has issued notification to conduct the election for School Management Committee in all schools of Telangana. TSSA has instructed to all the Head Masters to complete the process of School Management Committee Election in schools before 30-11-2019

Schedule for conduct of SMC Elections
22-11-2019: Issue of notice to conducct of election to SMC Members, Chairman & Vice Chairman
22-11-2019: Display of parents list for conduct of Elections to SMC Members in the notice board of school
23-11-2019 & 25-11-2019: Calling of objections on parents list and redressal of grievances if any
26-11-2019: Finalisation of parents list for conduct of elections to SMC and its display in the Notice Board of the school
30-11-2019: conduct of election for selection of SMC members(7 AM to 1 PM). Finalisation of elected SMC Members & Formation of New SMCs and Conduct of Election of Chairman & Vice Chairman by SMC memebers(1:30 PM). Conduct First SMC Meeting(2 PM to 4 PM).
Provided that, in case, the number of children in a class is less than6, the same shall be combined with the next lower or higher class.
The term of an elected memebers will be for two years, or the date of leaving from the school of the member's child which is earlier.
New parent/guardian members from entry class will be inducted in to the SMC to replace those parent memebers who will move out of the SMC when their children leave school.
The Head Teacher or the in charge Head Teacher of the school shall be the Member convenor.
Additional Teacher memeber nominated by the MEO preferably from the gender opposite to the Head Master.
The concerned corporator/councillor/ward member, as the case may be;
The Aganwadi workers serving the neighbourhood are aof the school;
Elected Members
Three parents/guardians elected by parents/guardians of children in each class, of whome at least one person is parent/guardian of a child from the disadvantaged group and another person is a parent/guardian of a child belonging to weaker sections, and two are women.Provided that, in case, the number of children in a class is less than6, the same shall be combined with the next lower or higher class.
